The nine-year-old humanoid with red-ringlet hair and yellow eyes named Lyric was found on the moon Yavin 8 by Jedi Knight Tionne. Tionne recognized the Force potential in Lyric and brought her to the Jedi Academy to learn the ways of the Force. Lyric wanted to train in order to protect the children of her people, the Melodies. Every season young Melodies go through a process to become adults, and in this "changeling" form, the Melodies are very vulnerable to the numerous threats of their satellite home. In Lyric's short time at the Academy, she made friends with Anakin Solo and Tahiri Veila, who helped protect Lyric during her own changing. Lyric, in turn, helped Anakin and Tahiri solve the puzzle of the Golden Globe on Yavin 4 and also helped the Melodie girl Sannah come to the Jedi Academy to develop her own Force powers. Lyric stayed on her homeworld to find and tutor other Force-sensitive Melodies to protect the children and changelings.
