Miko Reglia was one of the young Jedi who held fast to Kyp Durron's beliefs that the Jedi should be as proactive and high profile as possible. He was also Kyp's apprentice and one of his best friends. Miko flew an X-J X-Wing in Kyp's "Dozen-and-Two Avengers" squadron. When the Dozen-and-Two stumbled upon the Yuuzhan Vong's plans to use Helska as a base of operations in their assault on our galaxy, Miko was taken prisoner and held in their organic fortress compound. There he was put under extreme psychological torture by the Yuuzhan Vong "War Yammosk," or coordinator, a creature with vast mental powers that could project feelings of anguish, fear, and despair into Miko of being eaten alive -- and then dragged back to his cell. The Vong wanted to break his spirit in order to see how much a Jedi can take before he cracks. Miko gave up his life so a fellow prisoner, Danni Quee, could escape with Jacen Solo on a one-man rescue mission. His death came as a blow to his friends, including Kyp and Octa Ramis.
