Octa Ramis is a woman from Chandrila who grew up on high-gravity planets. She had a romantic relationship with fellow Jedi Knight Miko Reglia, and when Miko was killed by the Yuuzhan Vong, she felt the impact even harder than the rest of us. Octa alligned herself with Kyp Durron's faction of Jedi, partly because of Kyp and Miko's friendship, and partly because she felt like the war should be taken to the Vong as justice for Miko's death.
