Corran Horn has lead a circuitous life to become a Jedi. He started out as an agent of the Corellian Security Force, working with his father, Hal. While in CorSec, he battled Black Sun, Imperial entanglements, and bounty hunters. One of the latter named Bossk killed his father, which naturally was a great shock to the young man. He continued with CorSec, helping Rogue Squadron on a number of occasions, until the Imperial liaison to Corellia, Kirtan Loor, began putting the pressure on him and his partner, Iella Wessiri. They, along with their supervisor, escaped Corellia and went underground for several years. Corran assumed many identities and took on many odd jobs throughou the galaxy, including finding himself on Garqi for a while, and helping a local resistance against the Empire, lead by a man named Tesc. After getting out of Garqi, Corran decided to join the New Republic, and possibly Rogue Squadron.

Corran excelled at fighter piloting. In fact, he did make it into Rogue Squadron when they reorganized the squad. He consistently ranked as one of the highest pilots in all tests, and proved himself in battle time and time again. During this time he made many long time friends, one of whom was the Gand Ooryl Qrygg, his wingman. Also during this time, a ghost from his past finally caught up with him: ISB agent Kirtan Loor. Loor was tracking Rogue Squadron down for Imperial Intelligence Director and pseudo-Empress, Ysanne Isard. Corran was eventually captured and imprisoned on the Super Star Destroyer-cum-dungeon Lusankya, buried in the "surface" of Coruscant. There he met General Jan Dodonna, captive since the Battle of Yavin. Corran was presumed dead and Captain Tycho Celchu was put on trial for his murder. The trial was dropped when the dead man himself walked through the door. Corran helped free Coruscant from the grip of the Empire with Rogue Squadron. This was a time of great change for Corran. For many years, his astromech, Whistler, had carried a message from his father. When Corran finally opened it, he discovered his heritage.

It seems his grandfather, Nejaa Halcyon, had been a Jedi during the Clone Wars. When he died, his best friend and CorSec agent, Rostek Horn, began looking out for Nejaa's wife and young son, Valin. Rostek used his position to erase all record of the Jedi Nejaa Halcyon and his connection to Valin and his mother, to protect them during the Jedi Purge. Rostek married Nejaa's widow and adopted his son, changing the boy's name to Hal Horn. Corran had the blood of Jedi flowing through his veins. Corran began using his grandfather's silver-bladed lightsaber for practice and studied up a little on the Jedi.

He continued flying with Rogue Squadron throughout the Thrawn campaign. He met a woman named Mirax Terrick shortly after joining the Republic. She was the daughter of Booster Terrick, a smuggler Hal Horn had sent to Kessel many years prior. It was a strange relationship, but they eventually married. While Corran was away on Squadron business, Mirax agreed to go on a covert mission for the Republic, gathering information on Leonia Tavira, a former Moff who was then leading a group of pirates called the Invids, named after their flagship, the Invidious. When Corran found out that Mirax had gone missing, he was determined to find her. He felt that the only way to do so was to develope his latent Force-powers, and so he joined my Jedi Academy under the assumed identity of Keiran Halcyon, a distant ancestor Tionne discovered in a Holocron. He found out that his bloodline was weak with levitational powers, but like my own father, he possessed the rare ability to absorb and redirect energy. After helping to free me from the hold of the Sith ghost Exar Kun, Corran went out in search of Mirax.

While on this journey, Corran discovered many things. He fell in with the Invids to try and locate Mirax directly, and decided that he would draw a line in what he would do by rebuffing Tavira's approaches. He found out some more of his grandfather's history from Rostek Horn. He met the Caamasi Elegos A'kla, a descendant of a Caamasi Jedi who was once friends with Nejaa Halcyon. Corran built his first lightsaber while harassing the Invids with Jedi mind-tricks. His saber was built with the throttle assembly of a speederbike and had a silver blade, just like his grandfather's. At first he used a fake crystal in the emitter, and so it gave out on him at a most inopportune time: he was being attacked by a small mob, all carrying lightsabers. Luckily, or perhaps by will of the Force, his Gand friend and huntsman, Ooryl, led me right to him. After helping him out of his predicament, we managed to find Mirax and free her. We also discovered the nature of the Force-users who attacked Corran. They called themselves the Jensaarai. They lived on Susevfi and practiced a strange mix of light a dark side powers. They had been taught by a Dark Jedi during the waning days of the Clone Wars, who had been killed by Nejaa Halcyon and Ylenis It'kla. Though we made no friends of the Jensaarai that day, we did get them to drop their grudge against all Jedi, and in fact they helped us repel a small force sent by Tavira.

Many years passed. Corran retired from Rogue Squadron to take up his role as a Jedi full time, and in fact became a Jedi Master. His two children, Valin and Jysella, have followed in their father's footsteps and are themselves training at Yavin in the ways of the Jedi. When the Yuuzhan Vong began invading our galaxy, Corran was instrumental in gathering information on them. Missions to Garqi and Bimmiel with Jacen Solo and Ganner Rhysode were dangerous, yet handled very well, despite almost dying at Bimmiel and incurring the wrath of the Shai Domain. Elegos A'kla, now a Republic ambassador, made the decision to go to the Vong, to examine their ways and try to reach an understanding. This utmost of peaceful and compassionate beings was slaughtered by Shedao Shai as an example to "the infidels" and Corran Horn specifically of what was to be done with a person's remains, since the bones of Shai's ancestor were taken from Bimmiel. This loss struck Corran deeply. The next step for the Vong was to take Ithor, since it was discovered that the spores from a certain plant, only found on the surface of that planet could kill the Vong's vonduun crab armor. It was here that the Jedi made a stand. In the end, it came down to a duel between Shedao Shai and Corran. With the help of some deft lightsaber skills, Corran prevailed, though in the process he felt himself brush the Dark Side. Before the Vong left, however, they poisoned and destroyed the eco-system of the lush planet. The Republic officials, looking for someone to take the fall, tried to pin the matter on the Jedi. Corran, however, took full responsibility for the disaster and distanced himself from the Jedi. He left the Order and took refuge on Corellia with his wife.

Corran came out of retirement when the Academy at Yavin was threatened by the Vong. Corran showed up with Booster Terrick in the Star Destroyer Errant Venture to support the battle fleet lead by Talon Karrde. With his son and daughter in danger, Corran couldn't stay hidden away. With the Academy destroyed, the Jedi trainees were relocated to the Errant Venture and supervised by Corran , Kam Solusar, and Tionne. On one supply mission to Eriadu, he, Anakin Solo, and Tahiri Veila were involved in an incident with the Peace Brigade, and managed to stumble upon a Vong plot to take the planet of Yag'dhul. After surviving the vacuum of space in environment suits, taking a Vong scout ship, and alerting the Givin of the danger, they were successful in holding off the Vong fleet long enough for them to turn tale and run when Jaina Solo, Kyp Durron, Rogue Squadron, and Kyp's Dozen dstroyed a new worldship being grown at Sernpidal. All three made it back to the Errant Venture in good shape, and just in time to see their new baby cousin, Ben Skywalker.

Things have been in flux ever since the Vong entered this galaxy, but we all find rhythms to keep us busy. Corran has fallen back into a new rhythm aboard the Venture, training and keeping watch over the Jedi students. He continues to be one of my most trusted allies, a man with whom I would trust my life or the lives of my family. On a trip home to his native Corellia, Corran and his family was attacked by a voxyn, a new Vong bio-weapon based on the Force-hunting vornskr of Myrkr. Corran was a major help at Eclipse, the secret Jedi base in the Deep Core. He continues to serve the Jedi Order as few others can.
